Friday, Sept. 20 — The Board of Regents of New Mexico Highlands University recommended to the administration that a study be made on the advisability of limiting enrollment by fixing minimum entrance requirements. At present, graduates of all New Mexico high schools are allowed to enter the university, but the board believes standards beyond high school graduation should be set. Various methods of limiting enrollment were discussed, including limiting enrollment to those high school graduates with at least a “C” average. Enrollment at Highlands continues to grow faster than the facilities.
