In 1962
Monday, Nov. 26 — In their first basketball game of the season, the Robertson High School Cardinals were clobbered by the hustling Trojans of Wagon Mound, 52-29 in a non-district contest. Ed Encinias, the fast-moving guard on the Trojan team, led scoring with 20 points, while diminutive Paul Chavez had 14. Phil Bustamante had eight points to pace the Cardinals. Alfredo Lopez scored 6 and Mark Johnson 5. In the B preliminary game, little Bobby Clouthier of Wagon Mound made 27 points, which almost equalled the combined efforts of 10 Cardinal players. The Trojans won 67-30.
