Wednesday, Nov. 13 — About 10 passengers of the southbound Santa Fe Chief this morning were bumped and bruised when the train came to an abrupt halt south of Blanchard, about 25 miles from Las Vegas. The cause of the rough stop has not been determined. None of the injured passengers were hurt seriously enough to leave the train. As a precaution, an ambulance and a doctor were sent to the scene from Las Vegas.
