Tuesday, May 26 — After two years of abandonment to vandalism, the West Las Vegas swimming pool will be opened again this summer, possibly by Memorial Day. The pool, which was one of the projects that brought to West Las Vegas the honor of being named an All-American City, still has much work to be done on it,” according to Arcenio A. Gonzales, who will be in charge of pool operations this summer. The pool was named after Gonzales and, according to him, played an important role in holding down juvenile delinquency during the years it was in operation.
