Tuesday, March 26 — An Air Force jet pilot has bought the Vegas Bowl, including the land on which it stands, and will take over active management of the alleys soon. Capt. Bob Schopfer, who is presently stationed at Hunter AFB, Savannah, has completed arrangements with Harold Stone of Phoenix and Bud Bartick for the control of the bowling center. The new owner will leave the Air Force in which he has been a pilot and instructor. He has recently been flying the KC-97s the large jet tankers which cruise thousands of miles.
