Monday, Jan. 28 — A long-time resident and well-known newspaper editor of Las Vegas, Walter T. Vivian, died in a local hospital this morning following an extended illness. He came to Las Vegas in 1929 and was employed by the Las Vegas Daily Optic as editor. A short time later, he moved to Roswell, where he was editor of the Roswell Daily Record. He and his wife, Delma, returned to Las Vegas and both entered the employment of the Daily Optic again. He later edited the Gallup Independent.
