Wednesday, Jan. 16 — Taxicab rates have been set for the Las Vegas area by resolutions adopted by City Council Monday night and Town Council last night. City and Town ordinances require that the rates be established by council resolution. The rates in Zone 1, which includes most of the city and town, but not beyond Mills Avenue, are 50 cents for one passenger, 75 cents for two passengers and $1 for three to four passengers.
