Friday, May 22, 1964 — John P. Gavahan, Fifth Health District supervising sanitarian, states that Friday evening, May 15, in the vicinity of Golondrinas in Mora County, a 5-year-old girl was bitten by a skunk. After the unprovoked attack, the animal turned on a neighbor who had some to help. The skunk was killed and thrown out behind the house. The girl was taken to Mora for medical attention. Dr. Morse of the Mora Valley Medical Unit immediately asked the sheriff, Manuel Lujan, to recover the head of the animal.
