Locals excel in 4-H rodeo

This past season in 4-H rodeo, two young Las Vegas cowboys took the reins on the competition.

Sidney Sena and Carlos “Chip” Ortiz both represented the area in the New Mexico 4-H finals in Las Cruces and brought home top honors.

Sena, a native of Mora, brought home a first place ribbon in calf roping, a second place in breakaway roping, a second in ribbon roping and a second in the All-Around for high points in the season.
