Remember when we played marbles in the dirt? We would draw a large circle on the ground, ante up with an equal number of all player’s marbles. We all carried our favorite cat’s eye shooter projectile, which was larger than all the other marbles and was deemed our “lucky shooter.” The objective was to knock your opponent’s marbles out of the circle, claim his marble as your own and hopefully go back to class after recess with a larger pouch of marbles.
