On Aug. 21, John’s Cowboy Kitchen in Mora held its second annual car show and hotrod run. It was a very successful event because of the following businesses and individuals: the Bank of Las Vegas in Mora, Community First Bank of Mora, Prestige Auto Parts, Pacheco Oil & Gas, Mora San Miguel Electric Coop, Autozone of Las Vegas, La Jicarita Telephone, Kathy’s Korner, Salman Raspberry Farm, Luna Community College, Roybal’s Conoco Station, Mora Valley Ranch Supply, Pizza Pro & Subs of Mora, Hatcha’s Express, Teresa’s Tamales, Martha’s Jellies, Kristy’s Korner Kafe, Beverly’s Etchings, Tapetes de Lana, Mora Valley Mercantile, Chavez Wood Sales, Pacheco’s 66 Station, Grandma Joan’s Jellies, To Your Health Food Store, Russell’s Discount Foods, Bonney Hearts Jewelry, Little Alaska Ice Cream, New Mexico Highlands University, and sponsor John’s Cowboy Kitchen.
The event could not have taken place without united community support from all businesses mentioned as well as Anthony and Annabelle Baca, Charley Gutierrez, Mora County Commissioners and Geno Maes, Mora Sheriff’s Office and Roy Cordova, New Mexico State Police, Mora Chamber of Commerce, Mora Independent Schools, Ernie Olivas, Gary Martinez, Kodie Martinez, April Mitchell, Greg and Rose Martinez, Manuel and Vince Martinez, Ruth Fort, and the staff of John’s Cowboy Kitchen (Crystal R., Dennis, Cecilia, and Beverly).
We are looking forward to next year.
