LCC launches new website

-A A +A
By Jesse Gallegos

Calling it “accessible, engaging and user friendly,” Luna Community College has launched a new website.

The last time LCC had done this was about three years ago.

“It’s easier to find what you are looking for,” says LCC website developer Adam Caldwell. “We’re constantly improving it with multimedia including photo galleries, videos and live updates.

The college has built a new framework and the computer center will be working through the month of April and May as it adds new and exciting features. An example of this will be a nicer athletic department segment. In addition, much of the application and registration process will be streamlined. The Luna Light, the college’s newsletter, will remain in an online archive. New Luna Light articles will be immediately available on the homepage.

“The most important part is that we want it to be accessible and friendly to Luna Community College students and the community,” says Caldwell. “We hope that you find the website fun, inviting, engaging useful.”

Caldwell said that with the old website, individuals had a difficult time finding what they needed.

“We have done a good housecleaning on the website,” said Caldwell.  “We’ve done a good job organizing online resources.”

Anyone wishing to make comments or suggestions about the new website can contact Caldwell via e-mail and acaldwell@luna.edu.

The website address is www.luna.edu.
