The 2010 Luna Community College Foundation Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Pendaries Golf Course in Rociada.

A shotgun start is scheduled at 9 a.m.

A four-person team sponsorship is $1,000 or $250 per individual. Individuals are welcomed to play. A hole sponsorship is $250. The entry fee covers green fees, a cart, and a prime rib dinner.

All money raised will be used for scholarships, according to a news release from the school.

Prizes will be given for longest drive (men & women's division) and closest to the pin (men’s and women’s divisions).  A hole-in-one for a vehicle will also take place.

Team prizes will be awarded for first through third place plus a first place gross score in a four-person scramble format.

The Pendaries Golf Course is located about 30 minutes’ drive north of Las Vegas and is known for its stunning views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

All funds raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a U.S. Department of Education Title V grant, the news release noted.

Over the last two years, the LCC Foundation has raised $55,000 which have been matched and invested for future scholarships for LCC students, according to the release.
