Las Vegas officer injured in crash

A Las Vegas police officer got into an accident early Saturday morning.

Both Officer Shawn Montoya and the unidentified driver of the other care were sent to the local hospital for treatment and later released.

Montoya was responding to a medical emergency around 8 a.m., heading south on Eighth Street, state police said. He struck the side of a car going west on Lincoln Avenue, police said.
