Las Vegas native accepted into music school program

Steven Ray “Cat” Leger is a 16-year-old student at Eagle Rock School and Professional Development Center in Estes Park, Colo.

Leger attended the West Las Vegas Rio Gallinas Partnership School prior to his enrollment at Eagle Rock. He has played piano for eight years, four of which were under the direction of Linda King in classical piano. Since being at Eagle Rock, Steven has performed and had major roles in “Urine-town” and “Rent,” Broadway musicals.

He most recently auditioned and was accepted into Berklee School of Music in Boston, Mass., the largest music program available in the study of contemporary music.  

The Five-Week Summer Program ran from July 6 through Aug. 9.  

Steven is the son of Steve and Joyce Leger of Las Vegas.
