Las Vegas’ housing authority is still considered troubled in the eyes of a federal agency, but city officials say they are making progress toward improving the authority’s status.
An assessment has shown that the authority has met its threshold, with a rating that indicates the authority can move from troubled to substandard status. But the official change can’t happen until next summer when the federal Housing and Urban Development Department conducts another review.
