It’s sad to see that even today people are judged by the color of their skin, the way they talk, their hair, the way they look, etc. It’s not right! But it still happens.
Everywhere you go, you can be judged by either the way you look or talk.
Because of judgment, a lot of people are afraid to be who they really are, because they are afraid of what people may say.
Have you ever heard of the expression, the kids with the black tee-shirts? It means that you stand up for what you believe is right. Kind of like rebels with a cause. I think that everybody should be like that. If everybody has an opinion then they should have the courage to stand up and state what they think is right.
If you are a person who likes to wear all sorts of colors and with some wild crazy colored hair, then so be it. Don’t dress like everybody else because it’s the “cool” thing that everybody else is wearing. Wear your hair in bright pink and blue if you want — if that ‘s what you like, then you do, don’t be ashamed of if.
If you’re the type of person that likes to wear all the new high fashion clothes, then so be it, wear it with pride. Show everybody that you know style and like to wear the newest things that are in. But don’t just wear it, wear it with pride!
If you’re gay or bisexual you shouldn’t hide it either. Love is love and that’s all there is to it. You shouldn’t be ashamed to hug or kiss your partner in front of other people just because they think it’s wrong. You should be you, no matter what.
They way that other people view you, shouldn’t effect you. There may be some people that may think you dress weird, so what! Let them. How much can words effect you? They are just words.
Remember the saying, “Sticks and stones may break your bones but words can never hurt you”? I know it may be a little kid rhyme but it’s the truth. Words cannot hurt you. It may hurt in the sense that they hurt your feelings, but, they can’t kill you.
Why would you rather pretend to be someone else in order to please everybody else instead of just being yourself? You should be proud and walk around with your head held high and not be ashamed of what people may say!
If you’re not yourself then you’re someone everybody else wants you to be. If you don’t act like your true self, nobody will ever know what kind of person you really are. It’s not fair to yourself if you pretend to like or be these things that you know you don’t like. Nobody — and I mean nobody — should ever feel like they have to pretend to be some one else. You are who you are so be proud!
The point is just be yourself. Love who you love, act how you act, be who you really are, because if you don’t now, you’ll realize your life won’t have any meaning unless you believe in yourself.
