Highlands University officially opened its new dorms Wednesday at the amphitheater on the south entrance near Washington and Ninth streets.
Vice President for Student Affairs Judy Cordova-Romero welcomed a crowd of about 250 people and reminded them that they were gathered at the site of what used to be the the tallest building in northern New Mexico, referring to the highrise dorm’s demolished in 2007.
