Items stolen while out back

-A A +A

At about 5:15 p.m. on June 14, I got home from working all day. I walked in my front door and remembered I needed to get a tool from my workshop in the backyard. When I returned 10 minutes later, I discovered someone had entered my front door and taken my red backpack containing my iPod, Kindle, iPad3, several gift cards, shaving kit, two Canon cameras, phone chargers, three checkbooks, medications and several thousand dollars in $100 bills that I was going to send to pay for my elderly mother’s care.

Among the problem with having things stolen is the arduous task of closing bank accounts, replacing the stolen items, getting medications replaced and coming up with the money to pay for my mother’s care. I feel so violated.

If anyone knows or sees someone suddenly flush with $100 bills buying things or paying off debts, please give me or the police a call. I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, if the thief reads this, do the right thing and return my “stuff.” Dream on, huh?
