The Optic should pubish a list of the "movers and shakers" who recently toured the Las Vegas and Raton watersheds on Highlands-organized tips, so that citizens can chat with them about what they learned in the process.

Getting the latest information on our watershed and our options straight from the folks who have this added knowledge would help us make better decisions about water.

Some of our problems originated a century ago and have persisted without a whole lot of movin'and shakin' going on.

Movers and Shakers are at it again

"Movers and shakers in Las Vegas and San Miguel County have known for years that one of the biggest obstacles to progress has been the community’s divisions. Las Vegas is known for pulling itself apart rather than putting itself together for a common purpose." Optic Sept. 26
