The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s two Nebraska schools served up a wholesome helping of humble pie, Midwest-style, to visitors from New Mexico Highlands over the weekend.
On Friday, Nebraska-Kearney swept a doubleheader by beating the Highlands men 101-90 and the women 86-74, ending winning streaks for both teams.
Saturday night, Chadron State defeated NMHU’s men 104-87 and the women 71-59.
The Cowboys (5-3, 0-2 RMAC) and Cowgirls (3-2, 0-2) look to regroup with a league matchup against Colorado Christian Friday night at the Wilson Complex.
