Highlands University isn’t escaping the state’s budget ax.
Highlands President Jim Fries told the Board or Regents Wednesday about how the university will be affected by a number of decisions stemming from the recently ended 60-day session of the state Legislature.
For the 2009 fiscal year, which started July 1, Highlands and other higher education institutions had about a 2.5 percent reduction, Fries said.
