The Mora Independent School’s Business Professionals of America participated in the State competition recently in Albuquerque. Fifteen students were honored and have qualified to participate in the National Competition to be held in Washington DC in early May. There were various business competitions ranging from accounting, computer applications, payroll etc. The following individuals qualified to attend the competition in Washington DC; from the high school: Elisa Abeyta, Franny Alexander, Angelica Aragon, Monique Duran, Joshua Garcia, Miquela Marrujo, Marcos Mondragon, Ryan Romero, Alyssa Sanchez, Miguel Serna, Angel Valencia and Jacklin Vigil; middle school qualifiers are Melinda Garcia, Onica Pino and Korazon Romero. The coordinator and sponsor for the Mora BPA is Pauline Laumbach.
