Eight notable athletes whose time at New Mexico Highlands from different eras spanning from 1956 to 1995 will be honored on Thursday as the H Club inducts its Class of 2012.
The ceremony, immediately preceded by the naming of the Wilson Complex floor in honor of the late Henry O. Sanchez, is part of a banquet beginning at 5 p.m.
While attending NMHU from 1956 to 1961, Joe Cajero was a two-sport athlete in baseball and track under coaches John Donnelly and Bill Bynum, respectively. He went on to develop a track and later start a cross country program at Jemez Valley.
