GOP hopefuls to campaign in Las Vegas

San Miguel County is solid Democratic turf, but that’s not stopping Republicans from campaigning here.

On Tuesday, two Republican U.S. Senate candidates — Heather Wilson and Steve Pearce — will meet with residents. Pearce is southern New Mexico’s congressman, while Wilson represents the Albuquerque area in Congress.

Wilson will hold an event 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the city’s recreation center, while Pearce will meet with residents 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Plaza Hotel.
