The two Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate seat in New Mexico campaigned in Las Vegas on Tuesday, both touting their credentials to represent New Mexico.
Heather Wilson and Steve Pearce, both members of Congress, are vying for the Republican nomination. They got into the race after Sen. Pete Domenici, R-N.M., announced his decision not to run again after 36 years.
On the Democratic side, Rep. Tom Udall, who represents northern New Mexico, is the leading candidate.
