Five cheerleaders kicked off team

Five West Las Vegas High School cheerleaders were removed from the team this week in connection with an alleged shoplifting incident in Albuquerque last weekend, an official said Wednesday.

Superintendent Jim Abreu confirmed that cheerleading coach Krystle King made the decision to remove the cheerleaders. He said he was fine with the coach’s decision.
