Fiesta run draws nearly 300

One participant in Friday morning’s Fiesta run served up the ultimate compliment to the event as he took a moment to catch his breath upon completing the course.

“This is Olympic caliber competition here today,” he marveled before turning back to encourage fellow runners still heading south on Hot Springs Boulevard toward the finish line on the edge of the Old Town Plaza.

He wasn’t exaggerating.
