The indicted former bilingual director for the West Las Vegas school district has resigned as a teacher, a little more than a year shy of getting full retirement benefits, an official said.
Roberta Vigil, a kindergarten teacher at Armijo Elementary School, submitted her letter of resignation last week, West Superintendent Jim Abreu said. She had been on leave since December because of an injured ankle, he said. Vigil also was on leave for much of the last school year.
