They may not have been facing an opponent, but several area residents nonetheless walked away from Tuesday’s general election with the public office they were seeking.

District Attorney Richard Flores, the top prosecutor in San Miguel, Mora and Guadalupe counties, was unopposed in both the primary and the general election. The Democrat secured another four-year term as district attorney.
