Las Vegas is like many others towns: It extends its utilities to people outside city limits. This is a common practice.
Recently, the San Miguel County Commission approved a 46-lot subdivision called Óxido north of Las Vegas. The developer seems to have created a good plan for the subdivision.
But we’re still concerned that the development is poised to get water, natural gas and trash pickup service from the city.
