Local authorities seem to be taking seriously the allegations against Robertson High School teacher Jay Quintana that he sexually abused a student.
The allegations surfaced in February after the City Schools released a notice from the victim’s parents that they may sue over the matter. The district placed Quintana on paid administrative leave.
We’re sure local law enforcement is doing all it can to conclude its investigation as quickly as possible. Of course, though it needs to be thorough, the faster it gets this done, the better for all concerned. After all, the district has been paying Quintana to stay at home — not exactly a productive use of taxpayer dollars. Until this is resolved, it’s best that Quintana stay away from RHS.
