West Las Vegas picked up its second straight boys’ basketball victory on Tuesday night, beating the Santa Rosa Lions on the road 65-46.
It’s a good win over a high-ranked Class 2A squad loaded with a half dozen seniors.

Brandon Quintana led the Dons with 24 points despite going 4 of 9 at the line. Martin Blea had 15. T.J Esquibel added  eight and had “a solid defensive game,” said coach Morgan Montaño. “We actually went pretty deep,” he said. “We had 12 guys play good minutes.”

West ended a three-game losing skid to open the season by beating Deming on Saturday in the seventh-place game of the Al Armendariz Classic at Capital High.
