Pojoaque Valley will host the District 2-3A volleyball tournament final on Saturday night in Jacona.
Both of Las Vegas’ high school teams will be vying to make that date with the Elkettes.

Then Wednesday’s winner visits second-seeded West Las Vegas at 7 p.m. Friday at Gillie Lopez Gym. Friday night’s victor gets a shot at regular-season champ Pojoaque.
The district final will be the second half of a doubleheader. West Las Vegas’ junior varsity will play Pojoaque in the JV championship match beginning at 5 p.m., also at Ben Lujan Gymnasium.
The Lady Cardinals finished the regular season 8-11 overall and 3-5 in district play under head coach Judith Trujillo. They swept the regular -season series with Taos, winning 3-0 on Oct. 12 in Taos and 3-1 on Oct. 29 at Mike Marr Gym. Against Raton, the Lady Cardinals split, falling in three sets on Oct. 15 at home but prevailing 3-2 on Oct. 26 on the road.
