DA to investigate city gas rates

District Attorney Richard Flores announced this morning that he was launching an investigation into whether Las Vegas has followed its ordinance on natural gas rates.

Flores said that at this point, he has found no indication of criminal intent but that he would await the outcome of the investigation before he pursues any action.

He said his office has received many calls from residents concerned about the natural gas rates.

His announcement comes on the heels of a letter the city has put out to the public defending its position on gas rates.
