In her short career to date as a professional boxer, Las Vegas’ Amanda Crespin has either dominated her foes with powerful combinations or pushed them to the limits in close decisions.
This past Saturday’s match with Brittany Cruz for the Women’s International Boxing Association youth featherweight title was the latter.
Cruz edged Crespin 59-55 in a six-round split decision at Sky Ute Casino in Ignacio, Colo.
“Deep down I know I won my fight and landed crisp punches and was not running away in the ring,” Crespin wrote Saturday night in her Facebook page.
Crespin is now 4-3-1 with one win by knockout. Cruz, from Thornton, Colo., is 8-4-1 with one KO.
