Arturo Crespin is headed to Sin City.
The Meadow City middleweight will be boxing Christopher Pearson in a six-round match on Friday night at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
Pearson, a 22-year-old from Trotwood, Ohio, figures to be arguably Crespin’s toughest opponent to date. He’s undefeated at 7-0 with six wins by knockout. His most recent bout — held Dec. 15 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena — was stopped in the fifth round because opponent Yosmani Abreu’s left eye was swollen shut. In terms of the number of rounds, that was the latest he’s gone in a fight.
Crespin is 10-2-1 as a professional with one no contest. Four of his wins have been knockouts.
He’s less than three weeks removed from his last fight, a six-round unanimous decision over Jose Garcia (3-5-1) on June 28 at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Among those also slated to box on Friday’s card: super featherweights Mickey Bey vs. John Molina, super middles Badou Jack vs. Farah Ennis, super middles Ronald Gavril vs. Jas Phipps, super middles Luis Arias vs. Latif Mundy, and light heavyweights Lanell Bellows vs. Carlos Gaytan.
