Cowgirls have played three top RMAC teams

Erica Hicks broke a late tie with a buzzer-beating three-pointer to lift Colorado State-Pueblo past NMHU 86-83 on Saturday evening.

One night after losing to Colorado-Colorado Springs by four, the Cowgirls lost to Pueblo by three.

NMHU is now 3-7 overall and 3-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, having lost three straight league games — against the top three clubs in the league — after a 3-0 start to the RMAC schedule.

Alyssa Lopez was the night’s leading scorer with 27 points, five assists, six rebounds and three steals.
