Cowgirl tracksters compete in UNM indoor meet

New Mexico Highlands’ women had a solid showing at this past weekend’s New Mexico Invitational hosted by UNM in Albuquerque.

Jillisa Grant placed sixth in the 400-meter run with a time of 57.06.

Shot put participants Brittney Sangwin and Elizabeth Robertson landed ninth and 10th respectively in their event, throwing for 12 and 11.89 meters.

Stephanie Gomez (19th, 5:45) led the Cowgirl contingent in the mile run. Former West Las Vegas standout Amanda Ortzow (21st, 5:55) and Brianna Cathcart (22nd, 6:06) followed.
