Cowboys in Kansas on Friday

New Mexico Highlands didn’t make a whole lot of mistakes on the gridiron this past weekend at Midwestern State. Trouble is, the mistakes they did make turned into points for the host Mustangs, who played a hyper-efficient game on both sides of the ball.

The Cowboys can put that 41-0 defeat in the rear view mirror Friday night with a good showing at Washburn in Topeka, Kans. It’s the first gridiron meeting between the schools.

NMHU plays the Ichabods at 5 p.m. Mountain time Friday. The game is slated to be broadcast live on KMDZ-FM 96.7.
