San Miguel County is working on a long-term effort to extend the city riverwalk all the way to United World College in Montezuma, an official said this week.
Harold Garcia, the county’s public works supervisor, said the county is working on a master plan created in the 1990s when County Manager Les Montoya was then serving as city manager. The riverwalk in town was finished in the 1990s. “It’s going to be a nice project. The county wants to do its part,” Garcia said.
