Seventeen people were arrested Saturday on drug trafficking charges and outstanding warrants as part of a new initiative that has been launched by local law enforcement.
The initiative is called Operation Safe Streets, and it was launched by the Las Vegas Police Department and the Region IV Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force.
Operation Safe Streets targets neighborhoods in the city of Las Vegas and San Miguel County in an effort to reduce crime and drug trafficking.
