San Miguel County officials have invited actor Val Kilmer to appear before them next month to address a controversy surrounding long-ago comments attributed to him.
Earlier this month, the County Commission delayed a decision on the actor’s request for commercial lodging on his Rowe ranch because of the comments. The commissioners wanted the “Batman” actor to explain himself.
The county has set a special meeting for 1:30 p.m. June 23 at the old County Courthouse to hear Kilmer.
