Wade Thomas scored seven of his team’s eight points in overtime Saturday afternoon to lead New Mexico Military past visiting Robertson 52-48.
All of NMMI’s points in the extra session were of the free-throw variety; the Colts rarely missed from the stripe down the stretch, going eight for 10 in OT and six of eight in the fourth quarter.
It was a tough way to end it for the Cardinals, who led 18-12 after one period, 30-25 at halftime and 38-33 at the end of the third period.
