City Utilities Director Ken Garcia faced some pointed questions from members of the San Miguel County Commission last week during his presentation on steps being taken to improve the city’s water situation.
One of the key projects Garcia discussed was the $30 million expansion of Bradner Dam, a project that, if successful, will triple the city’s current water storage capacity.
Lawmakers and Gov. Susana Martinez earlier this year earmarked $10 million for the project, which still leaves a $6 million funding gap.
