Castaneda Sold?

The word on the street is that the long negotiated sale of the former Castaneda Hotel has happened. If true, the slow progression from rumored to discussed to pending has finally arrived at done.  Maybe we will get some real, authenticated news sometime soon.

Castaneda sale still a ways off

It appears the sale of the Castaneda sale is nowhere as near closing as the worod on the street had it, or the Fred Harvey blog, for that matter. Still, a purchase agreement is in place, and that fact earned the pending sale a 5-column headline on page one of today's Optic. Let's all keep our fingers crossed!
