Cardinal wrestlers second in Moriarty Duals

Even shorthanded, the Robertson wrestling team is a force to behold.

The Cardinals came away with a second-place finish in the 10-team Moriarty Duals over the weekend despite missing three weight classes. They defeated Eldorado, Valley, Del Norte and Los Alamos in pool wrestling, losing only in head-to-head competition with tourney host Moriarty. And 152-pounder Daniel Martinez added to his collection of Outstanding Wrestler awards with another strong showing.

All that said, RHS head coach Richard Martinez said his team still has to get better and stay hungry.
