This year’s Cardinal Scholars from Robertson High School’s graduating class are: Katherine Elizabeth Houdek, Victoria Lucia Gomez, Jalen Martinez, Sonya Lane, Victoria Jauregui, Sierra Rose Zamora, Rebecca Trujillo, Julia Maile Hoogerhuies, Ashley Jaramillo and Tori Gallegos. They all plan to attend an institute of higher education.
Houdek is the daughter of Jeffrey and Lacy Houdek. She plans to attend the University of New Mexico to major in political science.
Gomez, the daughter of Placido and Maxine Gomez, plans to major in engineering at Stanford University.
Martinez will attend New Mexico Highlands University to study secondary education and science. She is the daughter of David and Verlee Garcia.
Jauregui, the daughter of Manuel and Lilly Jauregui, plans to attend New Mexico State University to study physics and medicine.
Zamora plans to attend New Mexico State University. The daughter of Kenny and Marsha Zamora plans to major in agricultural education and marketing.
Jaramillo, the daughter of Adrian Jaramillo and Michelle Pino, plans to attend New Mexico Highlands University to study engineering. At Robertson, she was a star athletic on the softball team.
Gallegos is the daughter of Ralph and Doris Gallegos. She plans to attend New Mexico Highlands University and major in dermatology.
