Campos named college finalist

In a widely expected move, the Luna Community College Board of Trustees on Tuesday selected Las Vegas City Schools Superintendent Pete Campos as the fifth finalist in the search for a new president.

Campos, who is also a state senator representing Las Vegas, is competing against four candidates who all have had experience in administrative capacities at colleges. Campos’ experience has been as an administrator in public school systems.
