Abuse charges filed against two alleged drug offenders

By Martin Salazar

A 28-year-old Las Vegas woman is in hot water after authorities say she sold an undercover police officer $160 worth of crack cocaine in the Walmart parking lot earlier this month.

Worse yet, the woman had her three young children in the backseat when she handled the drug sell, according to court documents. Now Kimberly G. Tapia, of the 700 block of Calle De Leon, is facing three third-degree felony counts of abandonment or abuse of a child on top of several drug charges.

But Tapia isn’t alone.
